There's so much more to Life 🍂

"There's so much more to life than finding someone who will want you, or being sad over someone who doesn't. There's a lot of wonderful time to be spent discovering yourself without hoping someone will fall in love with you along the way, and it doesn't need to be painful or empty. You need to fill yourself up with love. Not anyone else. Become a whole being on your own. Go on adventures, fall asleep in the woods with friends, wander around the city at night, sit in a coffee shop on your own, write on bathroom stalls, leave notes in library books, dress up for yourself, give to others, smile a lot. Do all things with love, but don't romanticize life like you can't survive without it. Live for yourself and be happy on your own. It isn't any less beautiful, I promise." ©ahundredconcepts

A Common Pain

I wonder as we tried to be more than friends and suddenly she pulled back without an explanation and we barely made it back to friends. She says maybe we will try again. Which brings me to the most dangerous of all emotions, hope. For to hope can crush you when its never realised. And to hope and succeed only to lose will rip you even more. I want to hope and yet i dare not for to lose or be crushed once more could truly be the end for me as i dont have the strenght to fight the ensuing pain. ©ahundredconcepts

Have you met that person yet?

Have you ever had that one person in your life that you just can't give up on, the one person who can screw you over and over after time yet you always seem to give them another chance, and no matter how many times you say this is their last one, you know it's a lie because there's always just one more waiting for them. The one person you know your better off without but yet you can't find a way to let them go because deep down inside you wouldn't know what to do without them. The one person you know doesn't deserve you but yet you choose to overlook it. Because you love them. ©ahundredconcepts

The Movies & Novels Ruined Us

Maybe the reason we struggle finding love is because we’re taught by movies and novels that some amazing, down to earth, caring, loving, perfect human being will suddenly pop into our lives one day. So we wait everyday for that special someone. We search desperately for a stranger in a crowd of strangers. A stranger compliments us; we think “they could be the one.” We obsessively wait for our own fairy tales. But while we wait, we forget that our special someone doesn’t have to be a prince with a glass shoe. We become blind to the possibility that our missing puzzle piece could be the person sitting right next to us — our best friend.
