Seeing Me: A Teen's Journey

Life's a big puzzle, and deep down, we just want someone to see us for who we really are. It's like eyes becoming magic windows, a chance for someone to understand the real us. Love is an adventure that starts with seeing the other person, appreciating the little things like their laughter or the sparkle in their eyes. In the teenage world, love feels like discovering a secret world in someone's gaze—safe, accepted, and special. Sometimes, we just want to be seen; other times, we just want to be loved for all our quirks. Love is saying, "I see you, and I'm into every part of you." Let's not forget the magic of looking at each other, beyond the surface. It's about sharing the real you and finding someone who thinks you're awesome for it. So, let your heart do its thing, let your eyes tell a story of wanting and acceptance, and enjoy the dance of two teenage souls getting each other in this wild ride called life. Because, you know, sometimes we just want to be seen, and sometimes, we just want to be loved....

4. Cut the negative language/mindset — Anytime you have a negative thought find a reverse positive. Even saying "I'm not happy with how my hair looks but my ass looks great in these jeans" is better than saying "I look awful today". Stop the constant internal bullying! think of it this way, if your best friend said the things you say to yourself how would you feel? YOU'RE your OWN best friend, so cut the shit! compliment yourself like you do your best friend. Complimenting myself and finding things I find beautiful on my own body even once a day has increased my confident exponentially. A negative language towards yourself leads to a negative mindset. 5. Get outside, stay out of bed — Laying in bed is the best thing ever, I know, but it can be so easy to get in there and never get out. This is my biggest bad habit. Self-care/ Mental Health tips — Part 1

1. Create a self-care routine with motivation — By giving yourself some type of reward to wash your face, brush your teeth and shower, taking care of your body, such as only watching your favorite tv show afterwards or getting a scoop of icecream or two, will feel a bit easier to accomplish the tasks that seem simple but can be terribly hard, especially if you suffer from depression. I've learned that combining things into one task also makes it easier, such as once you get in the shower, do everything. Wash your face, brush your teeth, shave, all in the shower. It makes self-care so much easier. 2. Keep your room clean — I know it sounds too basic and I also know how hard this is but trust me this contributes to as much as 65% to your mood. I’m absolutely awful at it, even in the summer but it really makes the biggest difference. Coming home to a mess when your life is already stressful and messy enough just makes things worse. Become Your Ideal Self

Once you stop fantasizing about that ideal version of yourself and start working towards becoming that person by setting your alarm clock earlier and actually going to the gym and actually volunteering at places and actually eating healthier and not procrastinating and working just a little bit harder you'll realize that it was so easy all along. Becoming your ideal self will only ever exist in your mind until you make the decision to work towards becoming that person. GET UP!!
